Visual Metaphor



On a more somber note, here is a scene from My Life Without Me. The bus scene seemed to be a metaphor or something like that.

Although sad, this scene is beautifully constructed. It conveys the horror of the moment very effectively.

I paused it so I could read the sign on the bus. It seems to be an ad for a restaurant with a snail on it. It says, "Free lunch hours, evenings, weekends, so take your time." Doesn't make much sense, but obviously ironic. Maybe it's legible in the film, but I haven't seen it.
